Some places don’t just educate you — they shape you. For Steve Jenkins ’75, Jesuit High School has always been one of those places.
On April 3, 2024, Jesuit announced that Steve Jenkins has surpassed $5 million in total giving to the school, thanks to an additional $2.5 million gift from Steve and his wife, Carole — bringing their lifetime generosity to more than $5.3 million.
Why This Gift Matters
This isn’t just a number on a check. It’s a commitment to the next generation of young men being formed in the Jesuit tradition — with the faith, curiosity, and leadership our community needs.
Steve put it best when he shared that “Jesuit was a transformational experience” for him — and that supporting the school means investing in both academic excellence and the values that guide these students for life.
What this Support Will Help Build Next
This gift will help advance the next phases of Jesuit’s Campus Master Plan, including plans for the Jenkins Science Center (to be named in Steve’s honor), along with a new Student Activities Center, Dining Hall, and Press Box.
And it builds on a long-standing legacy of support. Steve’s prior $2.5 million gift in 2017 played a key role in the first phase of the master plan, supporting new people, programs, and campus spaces like Gonzmart Hall, Holy Cross Chapel, Oliva Courtyard, and the Antinori Center for the Arts.
Jesuit also established the Richard Stephen Jenkins Award for Superior Achievement in Science in 2017 — a yearly recognition of excellence in the school’s most rigorous science coursework.
